Economic Empowerment
Approximately 80% of our users are from low-to-moderate -income households. Our programs include financial literacy workshops, career readiness training, and small business seminars aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty.
Social Services
We host social service workers weekly at our library to provide outreach assistance to those in need including a private kiosk for virtual appointments and interviews. We also house Harper's Heart who provides free resources and baby supplies for new and expectant parents.
Education
We provide early childhood literacy programs, STEM workshops, books in barbershops and adult education initiatives to bridge the knowledge gaps. We partner with local schools to offer free special events, celebrity author presentations, and book giveaways.
Cultural Inclusion
By showcasing local talent and celebrating community diversity, the event promotes inclusion and equity within Wilmington.
